A Labrador waited outside the hospital for its owner for a week before being taken away by animal protection services.
When his master, the Labrador Toto, was taken to the hospital, the faithful dog followed him. The incident took place in San Salvador de Jujuy, Argentina, in front of the Pablo Soria Hospital. Sadly, the dog’s owner never got to meet his trusty Labrador and died in hospital.
However, the dog was unaware and continued to wait for the man at the hospital emergency entrance. Sometime later, relatives picked up the deceased from the hospital, but the dog did not even remember him.
The clinic employees noticed that the Labrador was waiting for his master at the entrance and took pity on the dog. They brought him a cardboard bed on the sidewalk and a cardboard box instead of a kennel.
Hospital staff took to social media to find relatives of the deceased. This is how the abandoned Labrador became known to animal advocates, who decided to follow its fate and look for new owners for it.
So that the dog does not have to return to the hospital, the shelter staff decided to look for new owners far from where the wellness center is located. The dog is now prepared for sterilization and is looking for new owners.
