Doukas was found in Kallithea by volunteer Afrodith, who is known for her animal protection activities. For years, she was the only one who went to take care of the countless street animals every day.
The volunteer used to see him in the past going to the dump and giving him food. But some days, the dog had disappeared. His tracks have been lost. And suddenly he reappeared, in this state.
And so he was left on the street. where he lived for 10 years, he tried daily to live. Afrodite, seeing his condition, did not leave him like that. She took it to take care of it. Things are difficult. A house has been found for him.
Doukas thus arrived in Athens where he was taken to specialists. But things weren’t going well. Now that he has found love and a warm place, he is now gone. Not all creatures are lucky. Doukas thus cooled off in the arms of his new mother.
We don’t deserve them because, when they are full of love, we turn our backs on them and leave them in the street. This is how he left 10 years ago. The only thing that comforts us is that he did not go out into the street. He left home and in a hug. This is a good thing.
