A woman from the United States received a letter from her veterinarian shortly after this horrific event, which touched her deeply. It is not every day that you see such a moving sympathy.
On the Internet platform Reddit, a user posted a photo of her beloved Tinker pug, which she recently had to put to sleep. Shortly after saying goodbye, a card fluttered into the mailbox for her from her veterinary practice.
Inside she found a piece of paper with a poem, under which were two of her dog’s paw prints. The card read „Forever remembered – Forever loved – Forever in our hearts”.
Inside was the writing „Our compassionate thoughts are with you at this time” and many employees had written small messages inside. „My sincere condolences for your loss. Tinker was such a special girl and she stole all of our hearts. We will miss her,” wrote Dr. Curry.
„My condolences for your loss. I will miss seeing Tinker, she was incredibly cute,” wrote staffer Kayla. The four other messages expressed similar feelings of sympathy.
Also included in the envelope was a small plastic bag containing Tinker’s golden hair. Other users of the platform were also drawn to these loving messages. „That was very caring, it’s good to be reminded that the nursing staff also feels some of the pain,” wrote one.
Another said: „Wow. That’s the nicest thing I’ve seen in a long time.” Many more shared their own experiences of euthanizing their beloved pets.
„I had to let go of my baby about a month ago, the poem brought me to tears. I’ve been struggling with the decision and those words mend my heart a bit so thanks for sharing,” someone commented.
